Daniel Bouju Cognac

Daniel Bouju is a family-run Cognac house located in Saint-Preuil, in the heart of Grande Champagne, the most highly regarded cru of the region. Founded in 1805 and still in the hands of the founding families, it remains a true grower-producer, crafting Cognac from estate-grown Ugni Blanc and aging it on site.
The style is defined by traditional Charentais distillation and a patient approach to maturation in oak, creating Cognacs with remarkable depth, concentration and length. Grande Champagne's chalky soils provide finesse and lift, while extended aging allows the richer, more complex notes to emerge without sacrificing balance.
The lineup spans from youthful, fruit-forward bottlings to older, more contemplative expressions, including the house's well-known Brut de Fût. Bottled unfiltered at cask strength, it represents an uncommon style in Cognac and a fine example of Daniel Bouju's combination of power, maturity and precision.
