Jameson Whiskey

Jameson is one of the defining names in Irish whiskey, founded by John Jameson at Bow Street in Dublin in 1780 and still instantly recognizable around the world. While Bow Street remains the historic heart of the brand, production moved long ago to Midleton Distillery in County Cork, where Jameson is crafted alongside several of Ireland's other leading whiskeys. Its lasting appeal lies in a style that is consistently smooth, approachable and versatile, without losing its distinctly Irish character.

That character comes from a blend of pot still and grain whiskeys, all triple distilled and aged in oak. The result is a whiskey with gentle spice, vanilla, toasted wood and orchard fruit, anchored by the familiar Jameson Original but extending into a broader modern range that includes expressions such as Black Barrel, Crested and 18 Years. Jameson remains one of the clearest entry points into Irish whiskey, but its success rests on more than accessibility alone: it is a brand with genuine historical significance, a well-defined house style and a central role in the revival and global growth of Irish whiskey.
