Dingle Whiskey

Dingle is an Irish whiskey distillery on the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry, founded in 2012 by Oliver Hughes and the Porterhouse group. Located on Ireland's Atlantic coast, it became part of the new wave of independent Irish distilling, helping to broaden the category beyond the long-established names that had dominated for much of the twentieth century.

The distillery produces its own whiskey, gin and vodka, with whiskey made in copper pot stills and matured on site. Its style is generally shaped by triple distillation, careful cask selection and a coastal climate, giving the spirit a bright, textured character with fruit, spice and a clean, gently maritime edge.

Dingle's whiskey range includes core single malt and single pot still expressions, alongside age-stated and limited releases such as the Wheel of the Year series. Bourbon, sherry and other cask influences bring sweetness, depth and structure, while bottling strengths often preserve more weight than many lighter Irish whiskeys.

Dingle feels modern without losing sight of Irish whiskey tradition. Its best releases combine the accessibility expected of the category with a stronger sense of place and craft, making it a rewarding option for drinkers interested in Ireland's contemporary distilling revival.
