Glen Scotia is one of the historic single malt distilleries of Campbeltown, the once-prolific whisky town on Scotland's Kintyre peninsula. Founded in 1832, it is now one of only three working distilleries in the region, giving it an important place in the survival and revival of Campbeltown whisky.

The distillery is owned by Loch Lomond Group and produces both peated and unpeated single malts, with a range that includes Double Cask, 12 Year Old, 15 Year Old, Victoriana, 18 Year Old and older limited releases. Glen Scotia has also become closely associated with Campbeltown Malts Festival bottlings and other special editions that highlight different sides of its cask management and house style.

The whisky is typically medium-bodied and characterful, combining orchard fruit, vanilla, spice and toasted oak with the faint smoke, brine and coastal depth often associated with Campbeltown. Richer expressions can bring darker fruit, caramel, leather, maritime salt and a firm, oily texture, while peated releases add a more rugged, smoky edge.

Glen Scotia gives drinkers a direct route into one of Scotch whisky's smallest and most distinctive regions. Its best bottlings capture the individuality of Campbeltown without leaning too heavily on nostalgia: coastal, slightly old-fashioned in character, but increasingly confident as a modern single malt.
