The Whisky Exchange
About The Whisky Exchange
Founded in 1999 by brothers Sukhinder and Rajbir Singh, The Whisky Exchange grew from a small family operation into one of the world's most respected specialist spirits retailers. The Singh brothers brought decades of drinks-trade experience, with their family having operated an award-winning wine and spirits merchant in west London since 1972. In 2021, the business entered a new chapter when it was acquired by Pernod Ricard, joining one of the world's leading wine and spirits groups while continuing to serve collectors, enthusiasts and casual drinkers alike.
What they stock
The catalog features thousands of single malts, blended Scotch, bourbon, Irish, Japanese and world whiskies, plus an extensive selection of rum, cognac, gin, tequila and other spirits. What sets TWE apart is their collection of old, rare and discontinued bottlings sourced from private collections, estates and long-held inventories - bottles you simply won't find anywhere else.
Exclusive bottlings
TWE regularly commissions exclusive single-cask bottlings and limited releases in partnership with distilleries. These are chosen and approved by their in-house tasting panel and often sell out quickly, making them highly sought-after among collectors and enthusiasts.
Tasting notes & expertise
Every product page includes detailed tasting notes written by their specialist buying team, alongside customer reviews and flavor-profile tags. This depth of information helps buyers navigate an unusually large selection with confidence.
Events & community
The Whisky Exchange hosts regular tasting events and an annual whisky show - The Whisky Show - which has become one of the UK's largest consumer whisky festivals. Their editorial content, including interviews with distillers and industry guides, has built a dedicated community of spirits enthusiasts.
